Today is a very hot day in Madrid and I was out and about, tried to be out of the sun....but couldn't avoid the time while walking towards the metro...which was enough to feel the glaring sun on my body....and I remembered the words of a friend saying 'avoid the sun, stay in doors', only if I had a choice like he has...may be I could have.
But we all have different situations to feel some discomfort in different ways....my objective is to find a thought that will lead me to feel good from the situation that is uncomfortable.
I came home and felt tired...so took a nap and found that I had migrane...because of the sudden temperature difference that my body cannot handle much.....had coffee....had my tablet...but still didn't help much.
May be the underlining reason was some thing alse.......what I really wanted to do was HOW TO FEEL GOOD from where I am now.
So first....I sat to write my blog....but was not happening smoothy....so I stopped.......stopped everything.....not even trying to concentrate on my breathing....just being neutral......I realised that the moment you stop resisting....in everyway......we start to function again.
We all have varied situations in life where we can go bonkers...and wonder why....and the solution is......STOP!
Stop the monkey mind for some time....How do we do that, from where we are now?
The best way is not to give any importance to what we are thinking in those moments...which can feel like eternity...but it is only a while....may be just 1 or 2 minutes...you can then actually observe how much we are controlled by this conditioned computer....but again...not giving any importance to it.....this is what we do in meditation...and I belive that we can do it where ever we are when ever we can.....we do not have to have a condition to meditate....the word meditation has been misused and we fall into another trap of following our mind...which is going back to square one.
Many times people ask me how to meditate....and I do not like to explain much because it is a process of not doing anything......Want to just try it?
Do not shut your thoughts...Do not try to do a certain ritual....How much time? not important!.......just feel what you feel.....and do not analyise your feelings.
It might make you feel good or not (remember no analysing)......but it will definately reset your computer...so you can start to function again.
